York and Hershey

While visiting Gettysburg, we also visited York County.  York is known as the factory tour capital of the world.  There are soooo many factory tours to try, we'll have to try some more!  We love the UTZ Factory Tour in Hanover, PA.  It was short and perfect for the kids . . . self-guided, with a video, a couple displays, and viewing windows into part of the factory.  There are a lot of stairs, but you can carry a stroller up and then use it while on the tour.

We've been to Hershey Chocolate World before and definitely wanted to go back!  There were no crowds so we went twice.  It's a little hokey and not really a factory tour, but it gives a good idea of the process, is really fun for the kids, and very cute.  You ride in a little cart and get those catchy cow songs stuck in your head!  The Hershey Experience ride is free and there are other fun events that you can pay for in Chocolate World.
