Quilt Done

This is the quilt (minus the red binding) we made for our little friend JB (3) who was adopted from China in July.  All the kids in our playgroup picked a fabric and we traced their hand.  The predominant red is symbollic of luck, joy, and happiness.  Lady bugs are also thought of as a symbol of luck and good fortune.  CB was so excited that we had thought to make a quilt, because in their family it is a tradition for the grandmas to make a quilt and they were not able to for JB.  Also she had learned about the adoption quilts and wished that there was one for their new little boy.

JB seems very well adjusted after only 3 months.  He is the cutest little boy!  He loves his family and loves friends.  At the park the other day, all the older kids decided to chase and copy him and he really hammed it up and had about 8 older kids doing some really silly things including walking like Frankenstein and throwing acorns all over!
